This stunning opal with it's fiery flames is captured in an embellished antiqued setting with an intricate floral design. With it's Torch Fired one of a kind patina it appears to come right off the pages of a fairy tale a s it is fire flame that creates a living finish!

This stone is also known as Dragon's Breath. I have done a patina on this that is rich and varied in colors. You will see hues of stunning blue and violet, sometimes even greens mixed in with coppers and gold tones. Almost like black hills gold in tones.

This is a living finish patina that may age and deepen somewhat naturally over time, but you can still see all the vibrant color hues in the metal. I use torch fire to achieve this effect. This design is enchanting with all of it's unique array of color tones.. The lovely fire opal drop hangs from an ornate gold finish filigree. This filigree and setting are of heirloom quality. Very Victorian and elegant in style.

Our Fire Opal designs are some of our best sellers. Our customers love the special stones which date back to Victorian times. Named from the beautiful, shimmering flecks of blue which make this glass opal look like it's "on fire". These stones are made in present day, but date back to Victorian times where they were worn in necklaces, brooches and earrings.

Your necklace and/or earrings will be custom crafted for you in our family workshop upon payment. Chaining may vary, but will be same color tone and quality as the one photographed.

Closure is done with our signature hand forged loops that are wire-wrapped for security and makes the length adjustable. This design can be worn as short as almost choker length, or a little longer depending on your preference. Hook is hand forged from specialty wire that is richly antiqued over a copper core. Forged with a spiral design. Our forged findings give your piece a medieval feel and look as these are endings done in the same manner they were created in medieval times.
