This stunning Vintage style ring has a 14x10 size Dragon's Breath stone also known as fire opal. One of our most stunning opals in fiery red. This is the birthstone for October. Set in a gorgeous, ornate framework with an intricate design. Very Victorian floral filigree adjustable ring that is sturdy and comfortable. This special stone is named for the beautiful, shimmering flecks of blue/purple flecks which make these glass opals look like they are "on fire". These are one of a kind pieces as every opal is unique. These stones are made in present day, but date back to Victorian times where they were worn in necklaces, brooches, earrings and rings. Historical figures were also mesmerized by the nature of the seeming "fire flecks" shimmering within these unique stones.

It is adjustable by widening or closing the ends. Since this is a sturdy ring base and not at all flimsy, you can adjust this to your size and it will keep it's shape. This is an heirloom quality piece. Setting is soldered to the ring base. It is recommended that you remove it for bathing, swimming and dish washing. It should not be in contact with water for long periods.
