Named from the beautiful, shimmering flecks of blue which make this glass opal look like it's "on fire". It is hard to catch the gorgeous fire show in photographs. Very stunning in person. These are one of a kind pieces as every opal is unique. These stones are made in present day, but date back to Victorian times where they were worn in necklaces, brooches, and rings. Historical figures were also mesmerized by the nature of the seeming "fire flecks" shimmering within these unique stones. This Victorian setting is soldered, not glued to the ring base for great durability.

The floral detail around the outer edge of this copper setting is just the right contrast for this exquisite opal. The setting is soldered on to the filigree ring base for durability. Antiqued copper base is sturdy filigree that is comfortable.

It is adjustable by widening or closing the ends. Since this is a sturdy ring base and not at all flimsy, you can adjust this to your size and it will keep it's shape.

We looked until we found the most sturdy filigree on the market, but these are no longer being produced so there is a limited supply, making this ring a limited edition.

This can be sized as small as a size 4 where ends slightly and comfortably overlap all the way up to a size 9 which many customers have requested. Please note that this is a lovely filigree band and gap in back at a size 9 is 3/8". Some have requested larger which leaves about a 1/2" gap at size 10 so that is up to personal preference.

This is an heirloom quality piece. It is recommended that you remove it for bathing, swimming and dish washing. It should not be in contact with water for long periods. The setting is soldered to the filigree ring base for optimum connection and strength.
