Bar Sign, Man Cave, Man Cage, your last name, room name or your own custom phrase/name embossed with hand stamping of established date or coordinates and names if you wish.

I start with copper sheet metal and hand emboss the font of your choosing. The embossing is all hand tooled and great care, time and attention is taken to give it depth and texture. Last name, favorite phrase, etc. Underneath I hand stamp your wedding or anniversary date along with the individual names. This can be done for a couple or family up to 5 names total. Please contact us for a special listing if you require more than 5 names hand stamped.

Next, I torch fire a patina onto the copper. This is like painting with a torch. I can achieve an array of colors ranging from vibrant, to more subdued hues. Each piece turns out unique and one of a kind. The large embossed letters are hand sanded to show bits and pieces of the shiny metal underneath. This gives the piece great character while contrasting with the aged look of the patina. The copper art is then placed on a finished wood piece and set with finishing nails. This listing is for a sign on the natural wood with the original bark on the top and bottom. You may request natural, medium or dark stain.

Please note, each piece of wood varies as it is cut from a tree. Your piece may be more rectangular or may include a curve or hump as the Man Cage sign shown in the photos. Each is unique and one of a kind.

You may choose the amount of letters for the embossing. This is usually the last name, a phrase, a place or even a store name. We have done a home brew sign, a vacation home sign called "Journey's Reward", inspirational signs, Remembrance with stakes to mark a special spot for a loved one or furry friend and Business or Shop signs.

I am able to torch fire two types of finishes. The Old World muted has more subtle, earthy antiqued hues. The vibrant has brighter reddish and violet hues for a more modern copper patina. The Wharff sign is the Old World muted and the others are examples of Vibrant and modern. Unless a preference is noted in note to seller, your's will be vibrant patina!

Each sign comes with saw tooth brackets for easy hanging. These also look great in a picture easel. If you prefer a wire or twine for hanging, please let us know in note to seller upon check-out.
