Butterflies of Filigree carry these one of a kind opals that are 8X10mm and set in elaborate, Victorian embellished settings. These settings are professionally done and heirloom quality. Fire Opals seemed to spark and flame beneath the surface with ever changing fire. Done in the Art Nouveau style wear nature was heralded and used in both jewelry and art. Ear wires are hand forged from non-tarnish sterling silver over copper. They are flexible and comfortable. All items are quality hand crafted in our workshop. I have designed these fire opals to wear on their own or as another option to pair with our very popular Silver Fire Opal Necklace with Swarovski Crystal Victorian links.

Our Fire Opal designs are some of our best sellers. Our customers love the special stones which date back to Victorian times. Named from the beautiful, shimmering flecks of blue which make this glass opal look like it's "on fire". These are one of a kind pieces as every opal is unique. These stones are made in present day, but date back to Victorian times where they were worn in necklaces, brooches and earrings. It is difficult to capture the special magic that occurs in these unique stones. The fire flames appear to change and ignite as the light hits them. Most customers verify that they are even more beautiful in person.
