I start with copper sheet metal and hand emboss last name, favorite phrase, etc.

Underneath I hand stamp your wedding or anniversary date along with the individual names. Hand stamping is optional. This can be done for a couple or family. Some clients have no hand stamping, only a date hand stamped, only names hand stamped or both. Other's request couple names, family names or even a short phrase. We can do up to five hand stamped names. Please contact us for a special listing if you require more.

Next, I torch fire a patina onto the copper. This is like painting with a torch. I can achieve an array of colors ranging from vibrant, to more subdued hues. The last two picture show a couple of variations. Each piece turns out unique and one of a kind. The large embossed letters are hand sanded to show bits and pieces of the shiny metal underneath. This gives the piece great character while contrasting with the aged look of the patina

Wood is done with a medium stain and protective varnish. Each sign comes with brackets for easy hanging. Your sign will also look nice displayed in a picture easel. This makes a wonderful wedding, anniversary, birthday, housewarming or Christmas gift. Excellent choice as a room, store or office sign. Great as a family heritage sign.
